We are a volleyball sports club founded in 1972. From young talent training and youth work to competitive sports in the first and second women's volleyball leagues and the second men's volleyball league, our club supervises 31 groups and teams.
Our women's team Steelgirls is a 2-time Austrian women's volleyball champion and cup winner. The women are also multiple national champions in Upper Austria. Our volleyball players are generally highly respected members of the national volleyball teams and the OÖ national squad. Our club has been at the forefront of Austrian volleyball for almost 30 years. We also owe this to intensive youth work.
Training young volleyball for girls and boys is a key pillar of our success. We are currently training almost 200 young people from a wide range of age groups and with different levels of achievement. In this way, we are able to put together strong teams of children and young people at a very early stage, which harmonize very well with each other.
Our sport requires high halls that are not easy to find. Especially for many training groups, it is important to optimally utilize the few halls through good coordination.
Since we have a lot of youth teams, it is important to keep the team running that we recruit volunteer supervisors who also have experience in volleyball. The same applies to care provided by athletic trainers and physiotherapists, who are extremely important in top-class sport.
The search for sponsors is also an essential point in order to be able to cover the high coaching and travel costs, especially in top-class sport. As a club, we have these framework conditions so that competitive athletes can concentrate fully on sport.
For us, digitization means making life easier for ourselves. This starts with increasing efficiency in member organization, going through on/absences in training courses to planning training content. The commitment to participate in games is the basis for organising home and away games. Statistics on training/game attendance are the basis of training management.
Our planned goal for the future is to fully integrate the entire volleyball club into the Vereinsplaner in order to implement all organizational challenges on ONE platform.
