Alpine Society Alpenfreunde

The main purpose of our club is the maintenance and operation of our two mountain huts located in Lower Austria. We also shape our club life with regular club evenings, sports events, hikes, and cultural excursions. As part of the VAVÖ, we also actively participate in the design of our hiking trails and the preservation of the alpine region in Austria.

We consider it a great success for the club that, even though all our officials and members are volunteers, we are able to organize and enjoy regular events in a wide variety of areas (hikes, dances, bowling tournaments, mini-golf tournaments, brewery/Vöslauer excursions, etc.) with our members.

We are particularly proud to look back on more than a hundred years of club history (since 1896) and that we continue to succeed in inspiring people about nature and the alpine region, and in working for its preservation and development.

Until now, we used many different platforms (WhatsApp, homepage, analog records, etc.) to organize and manage ourselves. Due to the multitude of documents, often in different versions, inconsistencies occurred repeatedly. We are therefore glad that we now have a platform that supports us in our digital transformation.

With Vereinsplaner, we can now centralize the majority of our administration, giving all officials real-time access to the data.
