Vineyards managed according to ecological guidelines. Designated refuge areas for rare animal and plant species. Gentle cultivation with reduced yields. Additional environmental protection projects in the various vineyards are planned for the future. As an association, we are committed to raising awareness in the field of nature and environmental conservation.

Community – Many hands make light work

Experience the entire winemaking process as a member of ÖGN e.V. Get your hands dirty and climb the "Stäffele" (Stuttgart's famous vineyard stairs). Take part in a new form of agriculture. Say hello to the vines and chat with other members in the vineyard at sunset.

Natural wine – wine made from grapes, and nothing else

Wine as a natural product, with as little intervention as possible. Wine made from grapes, and nothing else. Wines with character, not to be compared with everyday mass-produced goods. Wild, natural yeast strains, the avoidance of filtration, and the help of time and a little bit of courage.

Founding of the association and acquisition (by association members) of vineyards in the steep slopes of Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt (location: Cannstatter Zuckerle) that were no longer economically viable to farm. Since the beginning of 2022, we have been acquiring the first equipment for vineyard cultivation. More information on the ÖGN website.

Our members! The dedication shown in the vineyards is immense. Although most of our members are newcomers to viticulture, we tackle the challenges in the vineyards with great motivation. Converting previously conventionally farmed vineyard areas (which used plenty of pesticides and systemic plant protection products) to organic farming is a major success for the association and a contribution to environmental protection and the preservation of a cultural landscape in Stuttgart.

Currently, the association has too few members for the existing vineyard area, which makes reliable planning of work sessions extremely important. Vereinsplaner software supports us immensely here. We can announce necessary work on short notice (e.g., leaf work, plant protection, etc.) and use the RSVPs to better plan the sessions and, if necessary, drum up more support.

We are a very young association (founded in 2022), so it was clear from the start that we wanted to digitize our member management as much as possible. Furthermore, we are a somewhat unique association; we don't have a fixed routine but instead have to react spontaneously to nature and the weather. A solution like this requires association software that makes that possible.

We use Vereinsplaner because we were convinced by its range of features, the pricing structure that fits our association's size and needs, and the active ongoing development of the software.
