Lions Aliter Linz

We are a non-profit club focused on supporting young people, the socially disadvantaged, the sick, and those with physical or mental disabilities. Providing aid in disaster situations is also part of our mission.

We organize major charity campaigns twice a year:

• Advent calendar for a good cause with a charity gala (schenk-freude.at)
• Wine stand at Wine & Art

Furthermore, throughout the year we support several projects, primarily helping young people in Upper Austria. Our club, which has 25 active members, handles the organization of events, the sending of invitations, and, not least, the review and selection of the charitable projects that receive our donations.

We are grateful to be able to support a wide range of projects, from caring for the elderly, sick, and infirm to providing vocational training for young people and supporting art and science. An overview of our events can be found here.

Organization was more difficult for us during the pandemic, too. Our club thrives on member activity and interaction. It was a real challenge to raise funds without being able to hold events.

It makes our lives easier. Organizing our meetings, managing RSVP lists, and planning events would be nearly impossible without the right tools. In addition to our website with its member area, we use Vereinsplaner as a supplement. Getting started was easy, the data is stored in an Austrian tool, and the member app allows us to communicate quickly and efficiently.
