HIB Handball Graz

What counts for us is community and the joy of handball. It is not for nothing that our club motto is Handball in blood.

The good work in the club pays off season after season: Many of our youth teams become Styrian champions and represent our federal state at the Austrian Championships. Den first state championship title In the history of the club, the MJU won 18 in the 2016/17 season, and that in front of a local audience.

In 2020/21, MJU 14 was able to repeat this success and also won the state championship title in front of a domestic audience. Our Women (EHF Challenge Cup) and Men (ÖHB Cup Final Four).

Particularly nice for a training club: Some talents have made the leap and are now playing for top teams at home and abroad as well as in the Austrian national team and junior teams.

We see ourselves as a training club and therefore attach great importance to working with young talent. From U10 to U18, we have at least one team in every age group — including girls and boys. In addition, there is also an offer for the youngest children (~4 - 10 years) with the HIB Mini Minis. With the women's (1st division) and the men's team (2nd division), we can also offer our players long-term prospects in Graz.

As a handball club in Austria, we are facing significant challenges with our infrastructure and sponsorship. Both areas require urgent improvements and expansions in order to meet the demands of our players and further develop handball.

Acquiring reliable sponsors is essential to ensure the financial survival of our club and to realize our sporting ambitions. These challenges require incessant commitment and innovative spirit from every single person in our team.

Digitalization is important for us in the club because the organizational effort for our club is very high. Thanks to the functions offered by the Vereinsplaner, we can carry out routine activities quickly and efficiently. We are pleased when new functions are constantly being added to the Vereinsplaner.

The Vereinsplaner is the ideal tool for us to handle administrative tasks and routine work digitally in the future. As previously described, it replaces all duplicate lists and serves as our central source of information.
