The club's purpose is to promote women's and girls' football, develop athletic performance, and, in particular, support the athletic and personal growth of young players.
Der Verein verfolgt den Zweck, den Frauen- und Mädchenfußball zu fördern, sportliche Leistungen zu entwickeln und insbesondere junge Spielerinnen sowohl sportlich als auch persönlich zu stärken.
For many years, FSV Gütersloh 2009 has been one of the most influential women's and girls' football clubs in East Westphalia-Lippe. The first team competes in the Regionalliga West and represents an ambitious, professional approach to women's football.
Our talent development is particularly outstanding: our junior teams regularly celebrate major successes, including a German B-Junior Championship title and several runner-up finishes. Many players develop so well at FSV that they make the leap to higher leagues and professional football – a clear sign of the high quality of our training.
In addition, the club hosts prestigious youth tournaments such as the Hallenmasters, which is known far beyond the city limits and showcases FSV as a dedicated and innovative organizer.
With its clear structure, professional work, and strong focus on the advancement of women's and girls' football, FSV Gütersloh provides important momentum for the future of women's football in the region.
We are especially proud of our sustainable work in women's and girls' football – from nurturing young talent to developing high-performing teams. What sets us apart is not just our sporting success, but above all our cohesion, our commitment, and the passion with which we advance women's football in our region. Our club stands for community, development, and true FSV spirit – and that is exactly what we are most proud of.
Like many clubs in women's and girls' football, we face challenges such as limited financial resources, lower visibility compared to men's football, and the difficulty of recruiting and retaining volunteers.
At the same time, the ongoing athletic development of our teams and talents requires a high level of organizational and structural quality. We have actively embraced these challenges: by strategically expanding our club structures, advancing our youth development programs, and stepping up our efforts in digitalization and marketing, we have made significant progress. Our strong sense of community and our shared passion for FSV are what help us find solutions and ensure the sustainable growth of our club.
For FSV Gütersloh, digitalization is crucial to making our club operations more modern, efficient, and professional. We want to simplify processes, centralize information, and strengthen communication between coaches, teams, and volunteers. Digital tools help us better manage the high organizational demands of competitive football and gain more time for what really matters: developing our players and promoting women's and girls' football in Gütersloh.
